Elegance, timeless, and sexy are just a few words I would use to sum up this gorgeous backless sequin dress from ASOS. I wore it this weekend to a dinner party and look forward to wearing it on many more special occasions.

Happy Holidays my loves! I hope you are enjoying that special time spent with your love ones. It’s hard to believe it’s already Christmas and New Year’s Eve is just around the corner.

Every year, no matter what we decide to do, we have a very simple recipe for a perfectly red, white, hard, or bubbly memorable kind of evening:

1. It doesn’t matter if you’re at a house party, a restaurant, a night club, or your own home as long as you’re spending it with that special someone who loves you.

2. Know where you’re going and plan transportation details in advance so you’re not drinking and driving or waiting in the cold for a taxi.

3. If you don’t have the perfect going out outfit at the last minute, don’t panic, just try to remix what you already have in your closet. Sometimes accessories, hair, makeup and a smile is all it takes to look amazing.

4. Make sure you can count down to ‘Happy New Year’ at midnight and kiss that special someone!

That’s our recipe, what’s yours?

I have been looking for a furry white skirt for a while and when my girl Sab from Rouge Spark saw this at H&M, she quickly picked it up for me anticipating it will sell out (thanks babe!!) and I think it did because I haven’t seen it in stores since. Love the feminine fuzzy flare of this skirt, not quite fur, not quite fringe. Just perfect.

P.S. I noticed some has mentioned that the belt doesn’t fit or it’s out of stock in your size. You can still get it and use a leather hole punch pliers from Michaels to create holes so it will fit snug to your waist, then trim off excess leather :)

Happy Monday lovers!

Rock n’ Prints

Everytime I decide I’m tired of this skirt and want to sell it, I’ll put it on and fall in love with it all over again. The last time I wore it (here) was with a basic black corset top, but this time I decided to go a little bold and mixed the busy printed slim fitting skirt with an equally busy leopard printed bustier.

If it was 5 years or so ago, I wouldn’t be caught dead “not” matching like this, but I’m so glad that fashion has pushed me to go beyond my comfort zone. Nowadays I can’t live without a moment of mix matching colors and prints (well I can, but you know what I mean). When it comes to mixing prints, I’ll typically stick to two patterns at a time. If I decide to mix a 3rd or 4th print, it’ll be minimal such as a thin waist belt or a small clutch.

Thank you for stopping by and TGIF!!! :)

NYC Day 3: Lady in Blue

When I saw Anna Dello Russo rocking this Jason Wu dress, I was quickly in love. The full length hi-low style is a reminiscent of the purple and silver colorblock Zac Posen skirt that Carrie Bradshaw wore in SATC2 when she ran into Aiden in Abu Dhabi, which I am still in love with….I love the elements of both outfits but I added my own spin with my signature over-sized bow and paired the ladylike skirt with a basic yet kind-of-sexy open back top…While I love my minis, this long flowy skirt was so much fun that I can’t wait to wear it again with something else, a little different.

Do you have any suggestions on what I should pair it with next time? :)

The NY Couture Fashion Week shows at the Waldorf Astoria grand ballroom was quite, well grand. In addition to designers from around the globe presenting exquisite gowns, the live vocal performances and dancers throughout the show made it quite unique and interesting. We caught the last show on Saturday night but unfortunately was sitting 3rd row so the photos didn’t come out as great as I like, but above are a few of my favorite gowns of the evening.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed my recaps of NYC. Have a fabulous Monday! xo

Sometimes I find myself buying things and never end up wearing it. This poor little skirt for example has been sitting in the bottom of my shopping bag for half a year and I almost felt guilty when I saw her laying there looking a little pissed off (yes clothes has feelings too). The funny thing is I stalked it for months on ASOS for it to come back in stock.

In my most convincing Carrie Bradshaw voice, sometimes I can’t help but wonder, do we shop just to shop? Do we really wear everything we buy and how much money do we actually waste on clothes and accessories that we don’t wear?

Anyway, happy Wednesday loves! I’m heading off to New York today when all the NYFW craze is dying down even though NY is still the city that never sleeps, NYFW or not. I’ll be there to celebrate my friend’s last days as a single woman, attend Couture Fashion Week, visit old friends, meet new ones and you guess it, shop! :)
