My goodness, I’m so happy Friday is here and it’s about 80 degrees today. I’m ready to go out and enjoy this sunshine before the rain/storm/hail/ or thunder hits us again (SF Bay Area weather can be a tad bi-polar)…so I’ll keep this short and sweet…

On my trip to Marshalls a few weeks ago I found this pretty pastel pleated lilac beauty peeking out from the Marshalls’ overwhelming clothing aisles. It looks strikingly similar to my deep purple pleated Alice +Olivia maxi that I wore here, but the color is so light & airy and was perfect for color blocking with this turquoise crop top… That’s what I love about venturing into Marshalls…fab finds at outstanding prices. It’s always fun to come across unexpected things…and especially at sale prices! Enjoy your day! xo

Wow another beautiful outfit KTR! I’m have a similar skirt but in tangerine and I want to colorblock like you. What color top do you think I should wear? P.S. I agree with you on Marshalls, I love it when I least expect something and stumble on the cutuest outfit! Woot!
Hi Danielle, thank you for stopping by! I love tangerine with pink or purple, but it can be paired with many colors such as cobalt blue and even teal! You don’t need to follow the color wheel rules! The sky’s the limit when it comes to color blocking! :) Here are some images if it helps visually.

Gorgeous!!!! Those are my favorite color and you wore them both! I also love when I find cute stuff at Marshalls. Sometimes you can actually find really nice things so never rule them out! Also, Ross and TJ Max are great too. How long ago did you get this skirt? I’m going to check out Marshalls to see if they still have them. The ones to your links (and the A+O skirt) is just too expensive for me!

Beautiful vibrant photos. The first image should be in a magazine and those quotes on the photos adds a nice editorial touch. You are great on camera and your style is amazing. I never thought to wear these two colors but this look has totally inspired me to go out and find a similar outfit.
