Looking at these photos seriously made me giggled to myself. Keeping things as real as possible here, I am no model and seeing myself draped and slung my jacket over my shoulders oh-so-nonchalantly is pretty amusing. I mean, how on earth are people walking around like this? I get it, the pits needs some breathing room, but I could hardly keep the thing on my back standing still let along strutting at full speed down the street. Nevertheless I may just have been quite the inexperience jacket-draper and my desire to snatched the living sleeves off someone who frequent the “drape” has kinda sorta diminished; because now I realized how this look has elevated my chic status by 10.

Totally kidding aside, this crop jacket and pencil skirt made in a stretch medium weight knit fabric is my favorite from my New Year ’14 collection. The rich deep pink/red hue and clean soft knit is perfect for day or night and I especially love that this can be worn in the office with simple pumps, on a casual date with a tee, or a sexy top for a night on the town with the girls. There are so many outfits that can be styled with this set together or separately, and I can’t wait to show you the photos…well actually I can because none of those photos has been taken yet.  :)

I think by now, it’s quote obvious how much I am in love with leopard. Similar to this outfit in Green & Pink leopard, this look is bold, fun and a little sassy combined in one. I love the idea of mixing colors and prints but I was pretty happy that these two combinations fit together so harmoniously and actually looks like a dress. Even though the separates are also versatile on it’s own!

This is another look at our New Year 2014 collection, but you can now Pre-Order this set now and get 15% off. * Expected shipped date is Jan 10th *

While the tea-length full skirts aren’t a new trend so to speak, it’s just getting increasing popular by the minute this year. Well, I’m pretty excited because I’ve always been a huge fan of the voluminous silhouettes and to be honest, that’s all I want to make nowadays. Since this fabric is thick and has this natural ‘poofy’ effect when the pleats are created, I decided to give it a slight drop waist to balance out the volume and added a smaller (than usual) bow to finish the style. I’m madly in love with this vintage luxurious pale powder blue satin fabric and contrasting light pewter gray that seemingly looks three dimension when in this beautiful late afternoon light. Hope you guys like this new piece! :)

I can’t seem to get enough of this polka dots skirt and can’t wait to style it with a variety of different looks! The last time I wore it (here) I was in a festive holiday mood and paired it with a sequin chevron tank and metallic heels. This time, I was going for a more daytime look, but this look can easily be transformed into night with the laced up heels and shiny accessories!

Sometimes you surprise yourself by putting together two pieces you had never thought of pairing with each other before and finding a look that you really like.

I’ve never been shy about mixing prints but I have to admit, I never thought about chevron + polka dots. The two prints are lovely separately but when combined, it somehow reminds me of either a toddler’s outfit, a table cloth, or an iphone case, all of which has never really been a style inspiration of mine. :) But when I was frantically digging in my closet for a top to wear with my polka dots midi skirt on Saturday night, this chevron sequin top fell next to to my polka dots skirt and instantly the combination gave each other life! It’s really a fun and bold look, perfect for a holiday, a dinner date or whatever occasion you set your heart on!
