It’s true, a white blouse has stand the longest test of fashion time (right alongside the little black dress) and is a statement piece that every single woman (and gentleman) must have in their closet. I love how a crisp and clean white blouse can transform any outfit into a polished and chic look, perfect for work, play, and pretty much almost any occasions in between.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! I was sick with the full blown flu, but lucky for me, it was after inhaling all the yummy food. All black everything may go a long way, but you can’t deny the impact that colors can have on your moods. Well at least for me…I picked up this Topshop wool skirt up a few weeks ago and cannot for the life of me decide what to wear with it. Should I color match? Nah. Wear black and leather to toughen up the look? Meh. Mixed prints. Definitely meeeh. Chambray? A white blouse? Maybe.

The large blocks of colors combined with wool texture makes this skirt a statement piece where pairing it with something simple can go a long way. So I decided to keep it light, airy and cozy by pairing it with a cream sweater and nude pumps. :)
