While the tea-length full skirts aren’t a new trend so to speak, it’s just getting increasing popular by the minute this year. Well, I’m pretty excited because I’ve always been a huge fan of the voluminous silhouettes and to be honest, that’s all I want to make nowadays. Since this fabric is thick and has this natural ‘poofy’ effect when the pleats are created, I decided to give it a slight drop waist to balance out the volume and added a smaller (than usual) bow to finish the style. I’m madly in love with this vintage luxurious pale powder blue satin fabric and contrasting light pewter gray that seemingly looks three dimension when in this beautiful late afternoon light. Hope you guys like this new piece! :)
Wow, your skirt: )))
K…..I too is in love with the full skirt. I’ve made a couple this summer. Right now I’m working on one of jacquard. I love your style and DIY projects. You are Fashionably Fabulous indeed.

You look positively radiant! That skirt is beautiful, I’ve loved styles like this way before they became popular in contemporary fashion, now they’ve just become a bit more accessible, though still nothing like this. I wish I had your talented fingers…

The lighting you got in these photos is so perfect for your new skirt! This entire post is truly enchanting and you remind me of a modern day Cinderella in this outfit. So much talent in these photos for Nate as a photographer and you as a seamstress and fashionista!

aww thanks so much Cee! That means a lot to me. :)
It reminds me of Cinderella! I wish I wouldn’t have bought my winter formal dress because this skirt would have just wowed everyone. Not that my dress won’t do some wowing, but this is definitely a dream come true piece. (Theme is enchanted/ dreams come true and I went for enchanted with a chiffon emerald gown)
Just an absolute stunning piece!
Thank you so much Lenzie. I’m sure your emerald green dress is amazing (emerald green is one of my favorite colors). Hope you have a wonderful time at your winter formal!! I love school formals. They were so much fun! :)
