When it comes to thigh high boots, I’ve always had trouble finding a pair with the perfect fit. So every year when fall rolls around, I’d find myself searching for that perfect over-the-knees boots….but search no more because I think I found my sole mate! Perfect heel height, perfect comfort level with hidden platform, perfect soft suede, perfect little laced up in the back so I can loosen or tighten for the perfect thigh high fit!
Funny short story: When I was trying these boots on, I casually mentioned to the sales associate that I’ve always had problems finding the right OTK boots because I have thick legs and thighs. She immediately disagreed (eyes-wided, lips-frowned and all) and told me I do not have big legs and I shouldn’t worry…as though it was a bad thing…I wasn’t fishing for a compliment and I think she was nice, but it makes me sad to see that even nice people can get influenced to believe that being healthy and having meat on their bones is considered a bad thing…It gets worst. She then told me that having skinny legs will look better in high heels, skirts and boots. I can’t help but laugh and I tried not to be offended because she was really, really older and I guess she just had an ancient way of thinking.
Luckily I’m kind of stuck in my own ways of thinking and told her actually thick legs are pretty damn sexy in heels, skirts and boots. :) How many young women who may already be suffering from body issues are put in situations like these each day to not like their bodies just because someone thinks their body parts are not the perfect fit for a certain style or trend? This brought me back to my post about Body Image and the Mean Girls...I have more to say, but I’ll leave it here for now since it’s 4AM and I’m feeling sorta loopy. xo
Have you ever had a shopping experience where someone either intentionally or unintentionally made awkward comments about weights and sizes? I love to hear your stories!
Adore this look! Definitely drawing inspiration from it and your legs look fabulous. :)

The boots look sleek yet comfortable and the whole outfit reminds me of Fall, my favorite season. I love the colors in sweater. I did vote for you.
You look just fine to me. Most important is that you feel good the way you are. You are very pretty to me =) I’m not saying that to make you feel good but I’m serious!
According to my bf, in America, I’m considered “anorexic size” LOL! I’m like no way! I’m just on the skinnier side. Not anorexic! I eat my fried chicken and steak and bread and noodles and everything else. About the comment, well, I can vividly remember this incident at the mall. I was walking pass this booth where a slimming center was doing a promotion and a few ladies were standing around the booth giving out flyers. 1 of the lady hand me a flyer and said “would you like to look at our promotion?” and I told I’m meeting someone but I will take her flyer to have a look. I went home later and asked my bf “Do I look fat to you?” then showed him the flyer and he goes “are you kidding me? seriously?” LMAO!

I love those boots on you, I have the opposite problem. My legs are TOO skinny, they don’t match my big hips and upper body. I can’t find over the knee boots because they all sag on me. Horribly! Any pair of shoes that goes around my ankles that are non-adjustable doesn’t fit me. I managed to get a pair of my dream shoes Gucci Huston Sandals and those don’t even fit. It breaks my heart. I wish my legs were thicker. But back to you and those gorgeous boots!!! I’ve been obsessing over the Stuart Weitzman OTK boots, I wish I could have either pair and have them fit.

You look stunning KT! I really love that ring!
So freaking cute! I love how you managed to tell that lady off and still be sweet about it. I would have cussed her old ass out!
KTR, are we like the same person? I think we are… but I’m a little more vulgar in that I swear in all my blog posts, and you don’t, but I seriously think we might be similar. I just posted a blog post before reading this talking about my legs, wow! I don’t know, it might be fate. You’re right though, she had an ancient way of thinking… enough said!
These boots look fantastic on you – worth the wait for sure. And such an interesting story! Approaches to size and style are somewhat generational but then also just vary on personality. There are definitely older women who support being confident in who you are! We figure, if you’re happy in your clothes, then we’re happy!

I love your boots! I too have the same problem with otk boots because I have thick legs. Are these really comfortable? I really want to buy them!
Absolutely the perfect OTK boots look! I’m lovin how you made it look comfy and casual! I think I have to ‘borrow” this look for sure!
People are always going to have something to say whether you are tall or short, fat or skinny, thick legs/ thighs or skinny legs/ thighs so I always encourage others to fall in love with themselves. Appreciate what they have and work with it. It is an absolute blessing to have legs much less worry about them being thick or skinny because of ‘world views’. I am very skinny (but shapely) and my body is commented on all the time. I’ve had people (men and women) ask if I got butt and boob implants. Why? Because apparently, really skinny people like myself are not supposed to be shapely. Apparently we’re supposed to look like death. *rolls eyes*. You are short/ petite, thick and beautiful. I love your style and how you ‘werk’ that thick body of yours, hence the reason I follow you on Instagram and here on your website.
To all the people who sit and criticize other people’s body, clearly something is lacking in their own lives and they need some form of entertainment or something to make them feel better.
Just do you and be you!
they look great on you. that sweater looks so comfy!

Such a cute look! I’m inspired! I have a pair of thigh high boots and I am always afraid to wear them because there is a fine line between looking stylish and looking like a street walker, depending on how you style them! You styled them to perfection and I will be taking a page out of your book and re-creating this look! Thanks for the inspiration!!!
