The Game of Life

* * *
Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling five balls in the air. You name them – work, family, health, friends and love…and you’re keeping all of these in the air.
Soon you’ll realize that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls – family, health, friends and love – are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. And that’s why it’s important to strive for balance in life.
How? Don’t undermine our worth by comparing ourselves with others. Being different is what makes us special. Don’t set goals by what other people deem important. Only we know what’s best for us. Don’t take for granted the things closest to our heart. Life will quickly slip through our fingers if we chose to always live in the past or for the future. Live each day as if it’s the last.
Don’t give up when we still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment we stop trying. Don’t be afraid to admit that we are less than perfect. It is this fragile thread that binds us to each other.
Don’t be afraid to encounter risks. It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave, grow. Don’t shut love out by saying it’s impossible. The easiest way to receive love is to give; the fastest way to lose love is to give up; and the best way to keep love is to give it wings.
Don’t run through life so fast that we forget not only where we’ve been, but also where we are going.
There are three things in life that leave and never return: words, time and opportunities.
Use them wisely.
The truth hurts only once, but a lie every time we remember it.
Yesterday is History,
Tomorrow is a Mystery and
Today is a gift…that’s why we call it The Present.

Best regards from Hai Nguyen at áo lông v? n? CANIFA. Thanks for a great posts!
I love this post. So inspirational and perfectly written. Thank you for sharing. I adore your sweater and your hair looks so great.
This is so inspiring. Everything you wrote has touch a nerve for some reason today. My S.O. and I have been going through a lot in the last year and he has stuck it through with me. I have to admit, I am not the most easy to love, but he’s always never stopped loving me. I have done so much self damaged to myself and our relationship by being and acting the way I was and no matter what he never gave up on me and still put me as a priority. I do need to not live in the past but I need to live for today, because tomorrow is not promised. And I SO AGREE, I need to take a chance and not shut him or love out because of the past or what obstables we have coming for us. Thanks for sharing. I don’t know you personally but you have a way with words. I have been following your blog since day one and you still inspired me constantly with your style, your words and your attitude towards everything. Keep up the great job KT and I hope you all the success with KTR Collection!

That is a really nice journal you wrote. It gave me something to think about and it put things in perspective. I love your blog.
You have a beautiful sense of style but you are also beautiful on the inside. After reading your post, I felt so compelled to do something I didn’t think I would do. Thank you for sharing, I know you’re just writing to remind us of what we need to appreciate and not to take life for granted. It really touched me and I think I needed to hear this today the most.
Hi Jessica – thanks so much for your kind words, and I hope that whatever you set your heart on today to do, it will turn out lovely. Have a wonderful rest of your week! XOXO
Hi KT! I have an event that I’d love to invite you to next weekend. I sent you an email, please let me know if you received it. Looking forward to hear back from you. :) Stay beautiful!
Hi Daryl,
I’m not sure but I’ll check! Thanks for the invite! :)
This outfit gives me Life!
Can I just tell you how much I am diggin’ this new do? It’s so adorable, classy, sexy, edgy all in one! I used to love your long hair and when you said you were cutting it, I was the one on your IG who said NOOO!! Lol, but I so love this look. Probably one of my favorite looks now! :)
You are so right about work being a ball that can always bounce back but yet with all the others, it can change forever if you don’t take good care of it.
I love it when you write your jorunal entries. This is yet another one of my favorite, along with the Mean Girls and What is Happiness entry. Sometimes, it’s hard to juggle everything but as long as we put our best foot forward and try our best to look at things in a positive light, we should be ok. I love the last quite about, “So don’t give up on your dreams. Fight for who you love. Listen to your head, but always follow your heart.” That really hit home for me. Thank you for sharing this and being such a doll. Keep up the good work KT!
LOVE this look!! You look great girl!
