Swimsuit: American Apparel one piece swimsuit

My favorite time of day is right before sunset. The quiet moments when the sun turns the horizon various shades of orange, red, yellow and pink, right before everything gets dark. It’s so mesmerizing and I can watch it over and over and never get tired of it.
How do you feel when watching the sunset? Romantic, relaxed, lonely, like something is missing? I’d love to hear. :)

I hope you have a wonderful weekend my loves! Always hard saying goodbye to the weekends but know that the week is just another chance for a new beginning!

Life’s a beach when we vacation…well I’m a beach bum and if I didn’t live in the city, I’d probably lived on a small island and worked whatever job I could to make ends meet just so I can be near this crystal clear, pristine water and powder soft white sand every single day…and I’d convince Nate to be a fisherman, because I’d need him to catch all the Caribbean spiny lobsters for me to stuff my face with every night.

The weather in TCI during our stay was perfect, mid 80s but never humid or unbearable like certain islands that we visited in the Caribbean. We stayed at the Regent Grand Hotel on Grace Bay (here are photos from Part I), steps from the beach and a short walk to the supermarket, Salt Mill shopping center with all the little shops, small restaurants even a couple bars with live music at night. I also love how everything was outdoorsy and dinner underneath the stars every night didn’t consisted of battling those lovely flies, mosquitoes or their cousins!

We stayed in an area where it was never too crowded or overwhelmed with a touristy vibe, but when we really wanted to get away, we rented a car and drove to the other side of the island to Taylor Bay (best beach on the island IMHO). The water was extremely warm, calm, shallow for miles, and for two newbie floaters/semi-swimmers, we appreciate calm knee deep water where we can see our toes!

We rented our car from Grace Bay Car Rental (highly recommended, they will drop off and pick up the rental at your hotel) but please be warned, most rentals’ driver’s seat are on the right unless you specifically request in advance for a seat on the left. We had a fun surprise when the car showed up, but thank goodness the driver below was calm!

Meet Mocha, our foster baby from the PotCake Place in Turks and Caicos. A non-profit org run by volunteers to help animals (lots of puppies too) who doesn’t have a home and help them get adopted. You can pick up a puppy and spend a few hours with them per day for totally free. You are free to walk them, take them to the beach or bring them home with you from 10AM -1PM. This helps familiarize them around adults & children. Mocha was so cute!! She loves hugs and had a strange phobia to Nate’s camera. She seriously went crazy when he started taking photos of her so I just picked her up and held her and she was super calm and sweet. I’m not allow to have another pet but we really hope someone falls in love with her and take her home! She’s the sweetest!!

Kudos to The Pot Cake Place for all that they do!! It’s a must visit if your in town!

They say a photo is worth a thousand words…but I believe they are worth so much more. Photos captured can tell a story better than any words can express; and I’m so grateful to have beautiful memories captured forever with our photos… Even though Nate thinks I’m a photo-fiend, he just doesn’t realize how much I admire his work and all those little moments that he’s frozen with the clicks of his camera…all 2,459 of them on this trip to be exact. Lol.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and I hope I didn’t suffocate you too much with all the photos. :)

Stay tuned for Part II later this week!

They say 71 percent of Earth’s surface is covered with water but, it’s nice to see that in between all the darkness lies bits and pieces of heaven….Here are some shots of the Caribbean islands when we were heading to Turks & Caicos. Pretty amazing when you see it all from atop huh?
