No Ordinary Love (+ PFC #18)

No matter how exciting colors can be for the time being, the simplicity and comforting timeless elegance of black & white will always have a special place in my heart.

This month’s Petite Fashion Challenge (PFC #18) is hosted by Amber of Easy Petite Looks. The challenge is to put together a memorable outfit that will impress your date…

When it comes to impressing the date, wearing something that makes me feel pretty + confident is key. Although the outfit will depend on the venue and activity, I prefer something that’ll show skin (gotta lure him in somehow right?) but still maintain some mystery. Trust me, even after approx 300+ dates with the same man, there’s still plenty of room for mystery :)

Whether it is a movie, a dinner, or skinny dipping in our neighbor’s pool (j/k), Nate and I make sure we make time to go on a date at least once a week…typically I don’t dress for the opposite sex because I like to wear what makes me feel comfortable (and let’s be real, most men can’t tell the difference between a pencil, peplum or tulip), but dressing to impress Nate has always been fun because he’s very attentive.

Last night I decided to put on a sweet white dress with contrasting black and cut out details for dinner at a local fave, the Sundance Steakhouse. The dress was elegant and timeless with a dash of sex appeal sewn in. I had the yummy grilled salmon while he dined on his usual medium rare filet.

For those who doesn’t know, PFC is a Fashion Challenge hosted by a different style blogger each month… You don’t need a blog to paticipate, just send a message to the future host for instructions prior to the scheduled date. You can also stop by Alterations Needed Forum to see past challenges and check out upcoming ones!

P.S. I’ll be hosting the challenge in October so I hope to see you there! xo

And just for fun… :)
