I held a contest on Instagram last week for assistance with naming this dress. Everyone was asked to submit one creative name in the post comment and there were so many awesome names. I had a really hard time deciding which one to go with but the minute I saw the name “Forget-Me-Not,” submitted by @Fashionforwardmommy, the name just really stuck with me.

The Forget-Me-Not flower is known as the “true blue” flower that symbolizes true love.  As the name suggests, they are given or used to decorate gifts with the hope the recipient will not forget the giver. Naturally this was the perfect name for this dress because as soon as this creation came to life, it was true love for me. There is something inspiring and sublime about the little forget-me-not flowers. I hope it will be a symbol of the little things that makes your lives joyful and sweet. :)

Dress: KTRcollection “In the Nude” bodycon midi dress | Shoes: Christian Louboutin | Bag: c/o Love, Cortnie Leopard print clutch

I have been searching high and low for the perfect body conscious midi dress in a nude color…and didn’t have much luck, so I decided to make one…and then some for KTRcollection.

The thing about body conscious dresses (especially nude colored ones) are the fit/style and the whether if the fabric is thick enough so that it’s not see-thru. Many knit fabrics that are light in colors (beige, white or cream) are pretty thin and are see-thru… After searching through approximately 80 swatches, I finally came across this one. A lightweight stretchy knit that feels like butter but thick enough where it’s not see-thru. I also love the color griege (which is a combination of grey and beige), because it has been known to compliment a variety of skin tones.

I also wanted a wrap style dress so that I’m not, well feeling too body conscious… and the ruching creates a perfect hourglass shape. It’s all in the illusion (wink!)!

I hate feeling restricted in stiff and uncomfortable denims so when I wear jeans, they have to be stretchy and I won’t make a purchase unless I can do a few cartwheels in them first. Lol.

I’ve  always love American Apparel for their soft & stretchy “easy jeans,” with it’s perfectly placed pockets to give our derriere a perky look and a high-waisted fit for us short girls to look long & lean. However, what’s even better are white jeans that’s not see-thru! Finally! This is definitely my summer favorite and if I can manage to keep food stains off them, I’ll be wearing these quite often! If you’re interested, these run small, I have on size M and cropped about 3 inches off the hem.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
