This dress was a cute find from F21 that I was really excited about. But it was only after the purchase that I realized it doesn’t have much of a shape and it’s a pretty typical maxi dress that has been seen on many. I love the dress but I wanted to find a key accessory to make it stand out and I didn’t want to do a predictable statement necklace. When I saw this adorable 20’s inspired headpiece, I was immediately in love with the crystal embellishments and the little bow detail. It has the perfect subtle amount of glitz and adding it to the outfit creates an eye catching look that took this dress from dull to fab. Ahh, the miracles of accessories. :)

I used to be a bit wary about wearing midi skirts because I was told it will make me look stumpy but in the last several years I can’t get enough of them.

Tip: Make sure your skirt is high-waisted and paired with heels.

I think mid-length skirts are universally flattering that instantly evoke a retro vibe and a stylish element that can be classy, funky, or dramatic. Don’t get me wrong, I love showing my legs with the mini, but there’s a quiet sex appeal with the mid length that’s so much more alluring when less skin is shown.I know it’s a style that’s not for all. I’m curious what you think about the midi and why you prefer not to wear it..?

It was one of those evenings a couple of weekends ago where it seem nearly impossible to get dressed up in 90 degrees temperature. I think I must have tried on a dozen”dressy” outfits that night, but after sweating out curls and what’s left of tinted moisturizer from earlier in the day. I finally said screw it and threw on these comfortable Love Culture shorts, which turned out to be the perfect dressy and casual outfit.

Some of my favorite things to do when the weather heats up is head to the beach, so I’m always on the lookout for new swim suits. I love my itty bitty little bikini bottoms but for a while now I am obsessed with the retro inspired looked of these high waisted bikini bottoms. This trend oozes glamour and is fabulous for curvy shapes or for enhancing those of with less. Here are a few of my faves!

What do you think about high waisted swim bottoms?

The beauty of leopard print is that they can elevate any ensemble from simple to chic and any pairing seems to work well with this universally flattering trend. Not to mention, leopard always makes me feel a little extra confident. That’s probably why I can’t seem to get enough of this print. I don’t really have any rules when it comes to style and self expression, but I prefer to wear one leopard print at a time. Which means, it’s either a pair of shoes, a dress, skirt, top, a bag, well you get the idea.

Speaking of bags, I have been searching for the perfect leopard print bag forever and this DVF beauty is just that. Well, she does have some minor drawbacks, such as she’s not very structured (which I preferred) and the flaps would periodically pop off the hinge, but overall I’m pretty happy with the size, shape, style and the print is just so beautiful. I guess this is when you have to decide if the pros outweigh the cons right? :)
