What I love about maxi skirts (especially flowy/colorful ones) is that they’ll never go out of style. I think I purchased this skirt 3+ years ago and every spring/summer, they are still perfect. Paired it with a lace crop top and cream wedges the other day for a dreamy easy-breezy look. Hope you’re having a lovely Thursday! xx, K

Whoever said, “do what you love and you’ll never work in a day in your life” is a damn liar!

While editing these photos I started to realized how much caffeine dependent I have became in the last 6 months (no it’s really not a prop lol). I used to never drink coffee but now if I don’t have a cup, I cannot seem to function.

In the last couple of years I have been keeping myself busy trying to maintain my career (my 9-5), my passion for creating clothes, managing every aspect of my small biz (which entails biz dev, pr, design, sew, accountant, finance, shipping & receiving, customer service, IT, you name it) and keeping up with my blog. By the end of the day I feel lucky to be able to do what I love (KTRcollection) and have a (day) job at an amazing company working with amazing people……. But some days I just feel pooped and wonder where my destination is going to be.

Then I remembered what we were taught growing up.

It’s not about arriving, it’s not about how quickly one can get there. It’s about what you take away from your experiences on the way there. It’s about the journey, the lessons learned, the people you meet along the way, and the ones who hung in there with you all the way. Growth and learning has no limit. Remembering these points really helped me stay on track and keep on going.

Well it’s 4am, I guess I better get some sleep now and put in a request at work for a clone tomorrow. :) Good night & sweet dreams!

Sometimes one little piece of accessory can transform an outfit. That’s why scarves are my absolute favorite piece of accessory whenever the temperature drops and I want to add a little something special to my outfit. I’m a collector of scarves in all sorts of colors and prints, but I always go back to my classic oh-so-soft cashmere scarf that my boss got for me a couple of years ago. It’s a classic and still looks like new…

On days when I have no energy to get dressed, I find that this little black midi skirt is the perfect-no-fuss simple piece in my closet that can dress up anything. I wanted the simple yet elegant look so I paired this skirt with a basic black top. To keep things interesting, I added a statement necklace, threw my hair in a bun and wore red lips. With just a few minor additions, a simple outfit was transformed into something a little more exciting and no one could even tell I got ready in 15 minutes… well now you do. :)

Hope you’re enjoying your Monday so far. I’m not, I hate Mondays. I wish it was Saturday again. xo

Token of Love

“Don’t walk behind me; I may not lead. Don’t walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend.” – Albert Camus

Spent some ‘arts & craft’ time over the weekend making these rhinestone wrapped bracelets which I’m dubbing the nickname “token of love” for an upcoming occasion. This was such a fun and addicting project that I think I’ll be making more in every color!

Floral pants have popped up everywhere lately and I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair. I can be impulsive when I see a cute dress but I’m very picky when it comes to pants:  the look, feel and fit are extremely important to me. I have to be able to move with ease and comfort and of course it has to fit all in the right places. Meaning not too loose and not too tight. Came these H&M lovelies — The feel, fit, and prints are just perfect, not to mention it’s awesomely priced at $14.95!
