Pencil skirts are a must-have staple in every woman’s closet and I have been a huge fan ever since I discovered skirts. Yup, even before the tutus and those full flowy twirlers.

There are a variety of silhouettes and styles out there for pencil skirts, but my number one pick has always been the high-waisted. Why? Well, it’s quite simple. The silhouette makes the legs look longer, any sign of that burrito I just stuff my face with will be hidden vanish, creating a hourglass shape, and anyone with a long torso can leave her blazer button undone. There’s also something “in charge” about high-waist ensembles. In other words, just as powerful during the day, but unquestionably cooler and fun at after-hour events. Depending on how it’s styled of course… and the styling for this skirt is endless. Can’t wait to show you the many different looks that can be styled with this skirt!

A while back I read somewhere where someone mentioned she’ll never wear sweatpants because they are too tacky or something to that effect… Really? Get over yourself. Because sweatpants are the best f*cking thing that ever happened. Ok, maybe not the best, but it’s pretty amazing. I can wear these things everywhere…around the house with my My Little Pony house slippers, out to run errands in my flats, and then transition to night with a pair of heels. It’s an all-day everyday-day type of pants. Best of all, they are high-waisted… What more can I ask for? I’ll never have to change clothes! Ok that’s kind of disgusting, but it’s pretty friggin’ awesome! :)

P.S. If you buy these, make sure you get a size smaller because they stretch. I’m wearing an XS.
