Hemlines seems to get shorter when the weather gets warmer, but I’m always excited for (read: obsessed with) the most versatile and ladylike skirts in my closet: The Full Skirts. They are timeless, feminine, elegant and works well for any occasion. The full, swingy silhouette is flattering for any body type and I love how it can be sexy yet still creates a sense of mystery. But of course my favorite full skirts can’t just be any full skirts. I added a slightly longer back hem for a royal princess feel and my signature double bow to give it a little personality of it’s own! :)

Florals, stripes, geometrics, chevron, polka dots, abstracts, paisley, embroidery, sequins and embellishments has dominated my closet for what feels like forever so you can imagine the thrill when I realized how awesome mixing prints and patterns together no longer clashes. Well, this “trend” is nothing new, but there’s always something new and refreshing every time (see them again here, here, here, here, and here).

Adding to the mix are my current favorite accessories, this alpine gold necklace from Olive + Piper and this inexpensive-but-pretty-awesome-aviators. I have been looking for blue/purple aviators and can’t believe I found them from H&M for $7. Score!

I was pretty thrilled over the weekend because we have another new lens to play with and I’m madly in love (helloooo ultra wide angles). Nate is dipping his feet more into photography and I am so proud of him, and of course offered myself to be his guinea pig for photos anytime he needs them (haha). Well, I hope your weekend was an eventful one and you’re all rested up for another week of life. xoxo

Livin’ on Love

Dress:  Patterson J. Kincaid ruffled dress (sold out, similar here)
Jacket: Tweed Arden B jacket (old)
Top: Joie Lace Fanny Top
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Very Prive
Glasses: Gucci
Pearls: Nordstrom Rack
Bracelet: Bracelets: Kate Spade beverly boulevard / Spikes from Ebay

What I love about this dress is the versatility of going from one occasion to another just by what it’s paired with. Switch from flats to pumps and you’ll instantly shift from day to night. Paired with a jacket or sweater and you’re back to day.

I love seeing the layered look in general and I especially like this look when it was paired with this delicately laced Joie top and a multi-colored pastel tweed jacket. The only thing is I get really claustrophobic and sweat like a maniac when I have layers of clothes on….so off they goooo…

Readers: Do you ever feel claustrophobic when you’ve layered on clothes or is it just me?
