Happy Thursday lovebugs. It’s been so gloomy in Northern Cali lately that all I have been wearing for the last few days are black, black and more black. Yesterday, I managed to throw on my favorite-at-the-moment faux fur leopard vest which always add a little character to whatever I’m wearing. Despite having no sleeves, it keeps me pretty cozy! Hope you’re staying warm and dry!

P.S. I love these leather denim hybrid pants that I try to remix it as much as I could (here and here). Which look is your favorite?

Leopard Spotlight

Don’t you hate it when you try to look so cool but your shirt or whatever you’re wearing is all bunched up? Yeah.

Whenever I feel like my ensemble is kind of plain, I’ll add a little bit of colors or a fun print and it’ll instantly give the outfit an extra boost. This leopard print vest is currently my favorite throw-on-anything outerwear. It’s so versatile and goes amazing with jeans + tee, leggings + sweater or just a simple dress. It’s practically the spotlight of the outfit. I said this before and I’ll say it again, when in doubt, wear leopard…….or wear red. That’s always a nice combination! Happy Friday!

On days when I can’t decide what “outfit” to put together, my maxi dress always come to the rescue! It’s cute, chic, comfy, not to mention easy and efficient! Throw it on and you instantly look darling (plus if you don’t feel like shaving, who would know? :)

Stacey Bendt Eisner, designer and founder of Alice + Olivia is no stranger to girlie, flowy pleats!  There’s something about the flowy-elegance meet relaxed-sophistication of this green pleated maxi dress that makes me feel like a princess every time I put it on. Definitely a favorite of mine in 2011 and will for sure be a repeat this summer….

At the end of the trail, descend a wooden stairway about a hundred feet to waves crushing, crescent-shaped beach that’s tucked away behind the towering cliffs. We enjoyed the ocean breeze, watched the harbor seals play, and relish a different side of Half Moon Bay. The beautiful scenery was definitely a picture perfect moment.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope I didn’t suffocate you too much with all these pictures! lol :)

Sweet Violet…Part 1

We spent Saturday morning driving up HWY 1 to stop by one of Half Moon Bay’s best hidden gems…Cowell Ranch Beach.

Cowell Ranch Beach is considered one of the prettiest beaches along the Half Moon Bay coastside for it’s seclusion and sense of intimacy. I particularly love the peaceful-farm meets breathtaking-coast atmosphere. There’s a quiet trail that eventually lead to the curving stretch of golden sand tucked away from the rest of the world by towering cliffs in the middle of an area that’s been a ranch since the late 1800s. Just wow.

Halfway along the trail, dandelions and wild flowers grew furiously in abundance dotting the landscape with a ray of color. It was such a serene backdrop against this violet maxi pleated skirt by Alice + Olivia paired with a black lace corset which I’m so in love with. But it didn’t end there. Our quiet walk led to a breathtaking view… Stay tuned to see what’s at the end of this trail.
