Dress: KTRcollection “In the Nude” bodycon midi dress | Shoes: Christian Louboutin | Bag: c/o Love, Cortnie Leopard print clutch

I have been searching high and low for the perfect body conscious midi dress in a nude color…and didn’t have much luck, so I decided to make one…and then some for KTRcollection.

The thing about body conscious dresses (especially nude colored ones) are the fit/style and the whether if the fabric is thick enough so that it’s not see-thru. Many knit fabrics that are light in colors (beige, white or cream) are pretty thin and are see-thru… After searching through approximately 80 swatches, I finally came across this one. A lightweight stretchy knit that feels like butter but thick enough where it’s not see-thru. I also love the color griege (which is a combination of grey and beige), because it has been known to compliment a variety of skin tones.

I also wanted a wrap style dress so that I’m not, well feeling too body conscious… and the ruching creates a perfect hourglass shape. It’s all in the illusion (wink!)!

xo, KTR

Some of the best things about having a personal style blog is being able to document how your style evolve over time….and lately I have been in a sort of minimalism kick. The neutral or solid colors, the no fuss silhouette, the lack of anything seemingly statement-making (i.e. statement necklace, arm candy overload, etc. etc.), and simple fabrics that feels great!
