Nate and I spent last weekend in Carmel to unwind, check out some local shops, did a little wine tasting, dine at some of our favorite restaurants when he first moved out here from New York and we even tried to take a walk on the beach. Yeah, the latter was bad idea. It was very cold! Even though the sun was gorgeously shining, the temperature was nowhere near warm and I can feel the chilly breeze furiously blowing against my leggings. Luckily I was layered on top with a thermal tee, a chambray top and knit wool sweater that kept me pretty cozy for most of the day…
This weekend we’ll be staying in Vegas for business but I’m very excited to check out the shops and eat my heart out at all of our favorite restaurants. We typically like to stay on the strip but if you’re ever going on a busy weekend and want to stay in Vegas on a budget, two of my favorite off the strip hotels (but very close by) are the Orleans Casino Hotel and the Platinum Hotel & Suites which is a gorgeous boutique hotel with suites from 950 to 2,200 sq feet for a fraction of the price compared to most hotels on the strip.
I hope whatever you decide to do this weekend, you’re spending it with someone you love. Have a warm and wonderful long weekend!

lovely! perfect comfy and stylish look!
Can’t wait to wear your beauuuuutiful skirt but it’s been such an awful weather lately.
I’ll have plenty of time to do it (in several ways) though :)
<3 your style!
You look so comfortable in this outfit. Very stylish indeed =)
I’ve heard of Carmel and it seems like a relaxing town.
Can I just borrow this entire outfit?! I love it!!! I am still trying to convince myself that I can pull of faux leather leggings. You make them look incredible!

LOVE this outfit! A perfect blend of cozy and chic (as usual). I gasp everytime you wear that bracelet! I will be releasing Spring pieces very soon, an I will be sure to let you know! :)
I love the outer layering of the sweater over the denim shirt. I’m a new follower to your blog. Found you on StyleAndPoise. Would love for you to check out my blog and join:

I really love the knit over the shirt look! It does not add chunk to it (I am always afraid of being looking bulky!)
Gorgeous, cozy and so perfectly put together. This is exactly what I’d want to wear on the weekends! Have a fabulous time shopping and eating in Vegas :)

Oooh, Vegas this weekend! I love that both of us are going to somewhere fun. :) And I love this layered look–perfect for Carmel/Monterey because those places are freaking FREEZING! Love the juxtaposition of edgy leather with the cozy and relatively tame look of a sweater (but of course, you know I do)! Btw, Nate’s been killing it with the photography lately… as you can see from your sunglasses’s lens, lol!

You went all the way with the faux leather this time! Woohoo. I knew they would look fab.
Layered to perfection and accessorized the best as usual.
I am always a lover of those boots.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Yeah I know exactly what you mean, even though the sun is out, it has been so cold lately! I can’t wait for summer, it can’t come soon enough! Urgh. Well have a great time in vegas babe and take lots of photos! :)
Gorgeous photos! Have a great time in Vegas! I went to boarding school in Monterey Bay and it’s so much colder there than people think. haha
Awww I love to see you in casual clothes just as much as the girly dress up ones. I also like how you layered these two pieces, it looks very laid back yet chic. Have fun in vegas hun and I’ll check out those hotels next time I go!
P.S. Have fun in Vegas!!! I never heard of those hotels but thanks for the info! 950 sq feet is huge for a room in Vegas!
That is a warm looking sweater! Is it old or new, I really love the two tone yarn. Btw, your hair looks gorgeous and I love your casual laid back look yet still sexy! :)
