Color Splash

You don’t need to know me for very long to discover that I love girly twirly dresses. The bigger the twirl factor, the better! Although I love my body conscious dresses, I always feel super feminine when I wear a dress that swishes and swirls as I walk. I mean come on, a dress that is this twirl-able is so much more fun!

Aren’t the hues on this Oasap dress gorgeous? The splash of colors almost reminded me of Monet’s, “The artist’s garden at Giverny.”

This month’s Petite Fashion Challenge (PFC #17): Candy Colorized is hosted by the talented and a fellow DIY enthusiast Sew Petite Gal.

The Challenge: Candy Colorized

“Take a bowl full of colorful candies (M&Ms, Jolly Ranchers, jelly beans, etc.), close your eyes, and draw 2-3 pieces.  Now use those colors (+ a neutral of your choosing) to form the basis for your ensemble.”

I love me some colors but randomly picking from a bowl of candy and combining the colors into an outfit can be risky…and possibly scary-looking. So when I picked these colors, you can only imagine the horror on my face… I can see it now: bright blue jeans, yellow top, red blazer and do-do brown bag. I’m a risk taker but this outfit will put me into clown land.

Luckily this dress came to the rescue, ok so I kinda fail in the red vs. pink department but if you close one eye and squint the other eye really hard, the red really looks like pink! :)

I hope you enjoyed this post! Don’t forget to check out the other ladies who participated! xo
